Cedric Graham was raised in the small rural town of Gloster, Mississippi; and being the oldest of 5 children, Cedric naturally acquired strong leadership skills, as well as the art of responsibility. These are two traits that would continue with him on his journey into adulthood. Growing up, Cedric played a major part in his family’s farming.
Cedric’s mother was a devoted educator. Her love for education and compassion towards others had a lasting impact on him. Cedric attended Alcorn State University and received his B.S. degree in Elementary Education and worked briefly with the Natchez School District. He continued his education at the University of Mississippi, where he received his Master of Education degree in K-12 Education Leadership. He landed an administrative position in South Panola School District. Cedric continued his education at Delta State University and received his Specialist degree in Educational Administration, and yet again found himself in a new district-Pontotoc City Schools.
He met and married Nikki Smith. Cedric joined the Pearl Pirate Family as Assistant Superintendent over six years ago. Cedric and Nikki have 2 handsome sons, Hughes and Ethan.
The same passion and drive that his mother possessed has most definitely infected Cedric. He has a low tolerance for non-sense and all things counter productive of education, and his love and hard work for the advancement of staff and students has and will always be his priority, putting others before himself.

My philosophy of ministry is to look as much like Jesus Christ as I can. I believe that God has called the church to be the light of the world. As a church leader that begins with me. I believe the pastor and staff of any church needs to lead by example. My entire philosophy of ministry is found in John 13:14-17. Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and then made the statement, “No servant is greater than his master.” I believe that ministry is about serving others in the love of Christ. We have no excuse not to serve the people God has allowed us to lead.
A fantastic five-minute viewing...
